Five Below Fundraiser

Shop at Five Below Dec. 10 thru Dec. 16! 10% of all sales from Alward will be donated back to Alward PTC. Fliers are coming home with students today! Don't forget to take the flier with you when you shop!

Santa's Secret Shop

Santa's Secret Shop will be open Dec. 11 and 13. More details will be coming home soon with the day that your student's class will shop! We still need several volunteers to make this event possible, please sign up here.


Our wonderful Santa Shop ladies are ready to hand over the reigns after many years of awesome service. We are in need of at least two people to shadow them this year and learn the ropes. If we don’t find anyone to take over this great program, we will sadly not be able to continue with it. Please do not let this wonderful program come to an end. The kids love buying presents for their families!!!

Early Release

Early Release Friday: Students will be dismissed at 12:15 p.m. on Friday. Please make sure to contact your child’s teacher if they need a sack lunch. If your child will have a change in transportation home, please email the office and the classroom teacher to ensure your child gets to the right place at the end of the day!

  • The Alward Parent-Teacher Club is looking for parents interested in helping with activities this year. We have lots of opportunities to help, and many are outside the school day.   • Leadership Opportunities
  • Book Fair - we need two people to work with Kristin Stoub and Tami Carter this year and learn the job, taking over responsibilities for 2019-2020.
    • Santa's Secret Shop - we need two people to work with Katie Van Kempen and Tricia DeGroot this year and learn the job, taking over responsibilities for 2019-2020.
    • Carnival Raffle - We need someone to contact local businesses and coordinate donations for the Raffle we hold at Carnival. You also get to run the drawings and announce the winners at Carnival :D


Ski and Board Club

NEW this year! Hudsonville Ski club is available to elementary students and families! The Hudsonville Ski & Board Club's purpose is to give HPS students and parents the opportunity to Ski and Board by offering a Club Discount Card to Bittersweet in Otsego.

Count on Me-Alward Students and Staff Making a Difference

This year, our students and staff are working on taking initiative to make a difference in the lives of others. If you hear about how an Alward student, teacher, or staff member made a difference in someone else's life, please fill out the Google Form below. We will be posting these "Count on Me" sightings on our new bulletin boards right outside the main office. Students, parents and staff members can recognize others for things as simple as someone always saying hello to them or holding the door for them. We can also recognize others for going as far as helping out in the community. We want to know how our students and staff are making a difference at Alward and out in the community and celebrate these acts of kindness this year! Thank you for taking the time to support this "Count on Me" initiative this school year!
