What a great week to focus on reading! We had a guest reader in each of our classes last week, and read books focus on our global competencies. Thank you to everyone who came to read!
Math Fact March Madness is here! Our first round was today. Congratulations to our winners: Ms. Fuller, Mr. Hathaway, Mr. Clark, and Ms. Hernandez. Good luck next week!
Our Krispy Kreme fundraiser started on Wednesday, March 1st and runs until March 10th. Order forms went home with students on Wednesday. The winning class gets Bojangles breakfast and if we raise $7,000, you can duct tape Ms. Bonnemere to the wall! The student who sells the most donuts will win a $100 gift card. Second and third place top sellers will win $50 and $25 gift cards.
Kindergarten registration and PreK applications are available online here and in our office.
Please mark your calendars:
- March 9th is our Black History Program. Students are hard at work getting ready, and we want you there! The show starts at 6:00.
- March 16th is an early release day and March 17th is a teacher workday.
- The third quarter ends on March 20th.
We are excited to announce our Duke Energy Science Night on April 20 from 4:00-6:00!
Join us in exploring science, technology, engineering and mathematics through engaging hands-on activities such as making paper circuit robots, testing the power of air, building catapults, and much more! We welcome students and families for a night of science and fun! Look for more information to be sent home with your child. You can also contact us at [phone number/email] with questions. Duke Energy Science Nights are an initiative of the North Carolina Science Festival. The North Carolina Science Festival is a month-long celebration of science that occurs every April.
