A Note From Principal
We welcome you to Stafford Elementary School of Fine Arts. We look forward to a wonderful 2021-2022 school year! This newsletter is designed to be a resource for you to prepare throughout the school year. You can also find updates on the District and campus website and our Facebook and Twitter social media pages. We look forward to seeing our Stafford students be the best they can be!
Improve student learning through engagement in Project based Learning with a fine art emphasis. Students develop their self-awareness, confidence, creativity and expression through exposure to a variety of fine arts. Instill an appreciation of local artistry through partnerships with community organizations that focus in the area of fine arts.

Attendance
Parents/Guardians please take note:
Absences
School Day
- Staff on duty at 7:20 for early arrival
- Breakfast 7:30-7:45
- Tardy Bell 7:50
- Instructional Day 7:45-3:30
Tardies
- All students must be in class by 7:50am
- Late arriving students parents will need to sign their child in at front door
Early Outs
- All Early outs prior to 10am will count as full day absence
- All Early outs after 10am and prior to end of day will counts as partial day absence.
- NO Early outs will be permitted after 2:45pm. Please make all arrangements prior to that time.
Absences
- All students must adhere to the state compulsory attendance law (No more than 10 unexcused absence days or parts of days within a six-month period or three days or parts of days during a four-week period)
- To receive credit or a final grade in a class, a student must attend the class at least 90 percent of the days it is offered.
- Afterschool credit recovery to begin Tues. Jan 25th.
- Please see our updates on water bottles, snacks, cell phones, nuisance items, and uniforms below to help your child stay in compliance and focus on a safe and great 2nd semester.
- 5th grade-No backpacks,Cell phones must be turned in to teacher daily
Student Code of Conduct
We will be selling our spirit t-shirts throughout the year in the front office. Our priority is ensuring your child is ready for learning , if you are having difficulty or need assistance with school uniforms or supplies, please do not hesitate to give us a call at (210) 898-4250. Any changes to the dress code policy will be determined by the EISD Board and will be communicated to families.
House Bill 347
HB 347 prohibits the use of cell phones while driving on school property during reduced speed time zones in order to improve pedestrian safety. Use of a wireless communication device is prohibited in a school zone unless the driver is using a hands-free device. Statewide, drivers face $200 tickets. Parents please help us keep our students safe - NO CELL PHONES during arrival or dismissal.

Child Nutrition
Our students receive a free breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. Students are allowed to purchase snacks during lunch. More information regarding prices and procedures will be communicated.
Bus Transportation
Students must meet the eligibility criteria for district transportation. You can verify your household's busing eligibility please visit call the transportation department at (210) 898-2045.
On-Site Learning in 2021-2022
All learning for the 2021-2022 school year will be on-site.
