Northwood News October 3-7
Be Smart. Be Kind. Be United. Be a Unicorn.
Thank you for Choosing Northwood!
Dear Northwood Community,
Happy October! It's hard to believe that we have already been in school for almost nine weeks. This Friday marks the end of the first grading period and report cards will be available the following Friday in Skyward. I am so proud of how are our students and teachers are working to make this such a successful year so far. We couldn't do it without you!
This past Friday we had our annual bike rodeo. It was a beautiful morning for students to show off their bike skills and to show good sportsmanship. A huge thank you to Jordan Slaughter and his team of volunteers for organizing such a well run event!
Tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 4 is our monthly general PTA meeting at 6:00pm in the cafeteria. After the short PTA meeting our fabulous 5th graders will perform. We hope you will join us to learn about some of the wonderful opportunities and events happening at Northwood.
We are super excited for our Fun Run on Friday! Thank you for all of your support in collecting donations, creating a profile on mybooster.com and getting the word out. We are getting very close to our goal of $18,000 dollars. You have probably heard from your child that if we reach our goal by Friday, I will get turned into a human banana split! Whatever it takes for our students! :)
Please be sure to read all the way to the end of the newsletter to find out about everything that is going on at Northwood this month and for important reminders.
Have a great week and thank you for your support!
