Student Health Cards: An important message from our HSE clinic nurses

All Hamilton Southeastern Schools are now using an electronic version of the student health card. The new version of the health card is located on your child’s Skyward page under “back to school forms”. This form gives the school permission to treat your child in the event of an emergency or when they are feeling ill. If you have already filled out your child’s electronic health form, thank you. If you have not, please do as soon as possible so that we will know how to plan for your child’s health concerns while attending school. The school nurses can help you with any questions or if you have difficulty locating and submitting the health care form. Thank you for your timely response and we look forward to a safe and healthy school year.

Smart Steps: A Body Safety Program for Children

Hoosier Road Elementary is partnering again this year with Chaucie’s Place, a child advocacy organization in Hamilton County, to bring Smart Steps: A Body Safety Program for Children to our Kindergarten, 2nd and 4th grade students. Smart Steps is a child sexual abuse prevention and education program that empowers your child to say “NO!” to any unwanted touches that make them uncomfortable. The Body Safety Program for Hoosier Road Kindergarten, 2nd and 4th grade students will be during the school day on October 28th. We invite you to attend a Chaucie’s Place Parent Night to learn more about the Smart Steps program. Fall Creek Elementary will be hosting on Tuesday, September 15th from 6:00-7:00 PM and Sand Creek Elementary will be hosting another meeting on Wednesday, September 23rd, also from 6:00-7:00 PM. Both meetings are open to all parents and/or guardians of Kindergarten, 2nd and 4th grade students. Please be advised that Parent Night is not open to children.
