READ-A-THON Fundraiser
During National Reading Month from March 1-24, students will participate in a Read-A-Thon, for which they will log the minutes they read at home each day in exchange for monetary donations to the school. Students also receive 15% of the money they personally raise to shop in the Read-A-Thon store! A paper flyer will be sent home with instructions for registering your child and accepting donations. This fundraiser can be done exclusively online.
AR Blitz
The last two weeks of National Reading Month (March 20-31), SES students are participating in an Accelerated Reader blitz. The top two points earners from each grade level (1st-5th) will receive a great prize! Please encourage your child(ren) to keep reading. The AR Blitz is in the final nine weeks of the school year, and EVERY student who earns ten AR points between March 13 and May 5 will be able to attend the last AR party of the year!
