Testing April 20 - 29

Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will be taking the Georgia Milestones Test April 25-29 Please help our school by sending your child to school on time so that students are not tardy. Also, our specials schedule will change to a morning time slot during testing. Our lunch time will remain the same. Thank you!

Recital Day in Music

Recital Day in music has started! Students will have an opportunity to J sign up to perform a song, dance, tell a joke, etc, if he/she chose to do so. If your child needs a special song for recital day, please make sure he/she is prepared and brings in the cd. If you have any specific questions, contact:

Spring Carnival

Spring carnival is __________, from 4 - 7 p.m. This is a FUN event! There will be games, a dunk tank to dunk teachers, a cake walk, a game truck, hamster balls, and lots of yummy food!

You can also bid on the different baskets in the silent auction.
Put this event on your calendar - you won't want to miss it!

End of Year Testing in Kindergarten

Kindergarten teachers are beginning to collect end of year data. Students will be assessed in reading, writing, and math. Therefore, there will be some days where reading groups are not held. If your child doesn't come home with a book, please continue nightly reading by reading library books or books from home. Thank you!

ABC Countdown!

We are having so much fun with our ABC countdown!

There are a few days where we would love some help. Please send a note in your child's folder or email if you can send something in.

What's coming up next week:

Next week students will continue to retell stories, compose informational writing by participating in shared research with guidance and support, identify the purpose of Memorial Day, Flag Day, and Independence Day, and represent subtraction with objects, acting out, and drawings. Students will also learn about using the minus sign correctly in number sentences and number stories.
