Senior Turn In and Pick Up
We finally have all the caps and gowns in and they are ready to be picked up AND it is time for Seniors to turn in all school related items. The pick up/turn in date is next WEDNESDAY, MAY 20, FROM 9-1:30 PM. Appointments must be requested by Monday, May 18. (unfortunately, we cannot do pickup times prior to this date). Please note: this is only for Seniors!
All Seniors were sent 2 things this morning:
1) a form to request an appointment time. All of them need an appointment time. Once they have submitted the form, someone will email them back with an appointment time. In order to be sure that we don't have duplicate appointments, only the students have received the appointment request form.
2) a form that will tell students if they have some unusual things to turn in. This form does not include books and technology items. Please note: the baseball and wrestling coaches did not get their uniforms on the form. Bring those uniforms if you have them. This form is shown below.
EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE TEXTBOOKS TO TURN IN!!!! Students received a separate email from the Library staff indicating what items are checked out to them. The only way that things are checked out to students is if they are done in person. Because of this process, students do not have random things checked out to them. They should have received that item. Please remember that all items that were in lockers, were returned to the library. HOWEVER, students often share lockers and items may get lost or confused.
We cannot distribute any items that have not been paid in full. Additionally, we cannot accept money for payment on this day. Please arrange for payment of caps and gowns and yearbooks prior to this date. Caps and gowns that have not been paid for prior to this pick up will be shipped to you directly from the company after payment is made. Please call Herff Jones at 815-756-4743 with questions.
Yearbooks are not available for purchase on this date. Please contact wweber@wcusd200.org for all Yearbook related questions.
Final bills for Seniors after all returns have been processed will be mailed with the student's final report card on May 28. If you have questions about your bill prior to that date please contact apanos@wcusd200.org.
This will be a similar process to our locker pick up. Drivers will enter the parking lot and follow the cones to the student parking lot. There will be stations all along the curb:
Station 1: drop off unusual items, (uniforms, choir robes, borrowed equipment)
Station 2: drop off Chromebooks, hotspots, and chargers,
Station 3: drop off library books,
Station 4: at the gym doors to get your cap and gown, yearbook, Senior banner, PE bag, and other specific items for you.
Station 4: sign your senior banner.
Just an extra word of caution: it is VERY EASY FOR THEM TO LOSE THE TASSEL. Please be careful, we don't have extras!!!
We are considering putting out the unclaimed PE bags down by the pool, but we aren't sure yet how that process might work, so please be patient with us on this item.
For signing the senior banner, students must bring their own regular size black Sharpie (not a Jumbo Sharpie). If anything is written on the banner that is unacceptable, the comment and signature will be removed.
All students should be requesting an appointment. If you need specific help with an appointment, please email smelson@wcusd200.org. The form should be submitted by next Monday, the 18th. This is the fun stuff to get.....help your student make their appointments!
