Monday 19/9/2016 - Friday 23/9/2016

Hello from Balladen CP School.

We now have all of our Reception children here at school. It has been lovely to see all of their smiling faces come through the gate every morning. It has also been good to hear that they have been tired when they get home. Learning is fun and hard work!

There has been a lot of excitement around Balladen this week. At choir on Thursday the children were very excited to learn that they are going to go to Manchester next year and sing with other children from primary schools! Parents of children in the choir will receive much more information from Mrs Pickup in the coming weeks.

On Monday it was wonderful to see Reverend Julie Barratt back at at school after a period away looking after her family. She led a lovely assembly and spoke about trust which is so important. The children listened to her attentively!

On Tuesday Key Stage 2 children had the opportunity to participate in Street Dance after school. The children who have joined this club are having a wonderful time and we hope that they will show us what they have been doing on one of our assemblies.

On Thursday some of our children went swimming. They are working hard and developing their swimming skills well!

On Friday we had our celebration assembly and we are so proud of the confidence of some children who speak in front of the whole school and also many parents. Well done!

Please do take the opportunity to have a look at our twitter feed which can be accessed here.

Have a fantastic weekend and we look forward to seeing all of those smiling faces on Monday morning.

With respect,

Mr. Neil Ringrose

Thank you and well done!
