CHHS Staff Appreciation
In this week's Panther Applause, we would like to recognize Ashley White. Mrs. White is the CHHS Learning Liaison.
"Ashley White is a CHHS hero, an administrator who has gone above and beyond her job title of "Learning Liaison". In the last year many teachers like myself were rescued by Mrs. White during the pandemic. We received training, encouragement and confidence building on how to use Canvas during a very trying time. She is an inspiration, a leader and a true friend. Thank you Ashley."
Panther Golf
Our Panther Golfers had a busy week! Varsity boys played at Cottonwood Creek in Waco last Friday and Saturday! Weather was all over the place, allowing them to get sunburn on Friday and Wind-chill freeze on Saturday!
The picture below reflects Saturday’s conditions: Left to Right: Raj Namiar, Michael Xiao, Jacob Tibor, Wylie Waldrip, William Tran.
From left to right below: Alli Thompson, Jenna Sigrest, Juliana Grider, Landry Ashmore.
Finally, the JV teams for both boys and girls played on Wednesday at Lake Arlington. Emme Bangs, Bria Nisbet, Audra Stephens, and Josh Beck all posted their best scores. Jason Beck came in 2nd with a score of 81! In addition to these golfers, Ethan Goodgion and Marek Oley also competed. All golfers were too eager to leave Lake Arlington and we were not able to capture their pictures this tournament.. Stay tuned for the next one!

Lady Panther Golf
The victory moved the Lady Panthers into second place in District 6-5A at the season's halfway point before their next match against Grapevine, scheduled for February 22.
Allie Love notched a hat trick in the match giving her 23 goals on the season. Love opened the scoring with a blast at 4' and followed with a PK in the 8th minute en route to a 2-0 halftime advantage.
CHHS revved it up in the 2nd half with goals from Love, Olivia Belcher, and Alex Whitcraft to complete the scoring and avenge last year's defeat in Birdville. Liz Flores made some heart stopping saves to earn the clean sheet and the defense stopped a close-range free kick with only seconds remaining to preserve the shutout.
With the win, the Lady Panthers moved to 5-1-1 in district with 16 points and have their sights set on undefeated first place Grapevine (7-0-0, 21 pts.) heading into the Tuesday match.
In JV action, the girls played their Hawk counterparts to a 0-0 draw.
Come out on Tuesday the 22nd to support your Lady Panthers but also to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Night at Panther Mustang Stadium. JV kicks off at 4p and Varsity begins at 5:30. Good seats still available!
