I hope this communication finds your family enjoying the final hours of Winter Break. It is also my hope that your family had an opportunity to connect, create memories, and enjoy your time together the last three weeks. We are looking forward to seeing the smiling faces of our Dolphins back on campus tomorrow!

As a reminder, due to the increased travel and social interactions that often occur during school breaks, it is recommended that students and staff get tested for COVID-19 prior to returning to school following major breaks and holidays (e.g., Thanksgiving, winter, spring). Before we left for Winter break, your child received a COVID-19 at-home test kit. Each test kit contained two tests. Please test your child tonight or tomorrow morning, Monday, January 9th, prior to bringing him/her to school.

If your child tests positive, please email the school health office at debra.bucci@smusd.org. Be sure to include your child’s full name and the date they tested positive. If your child experienced symptoms prior to testing positive, please include the date of symptom onset and a list of the symptoms they experienced.
