3rd/4th Grade Music Program - "Heroes All"

Tuesday, April 28th, 6:30pm

Jefferson Jr High School, Woodridge, IL, United States

Woodridge, IL

Third and fourth grade students will be performing the music "Heroes All" on Tuesday, April 28th at Jefferson Junior High. Students should report to the band room at 6:20. They will check in with me there. Please take any coats/hats they may have worn with you to the gym. There will not be access to the band room after the concert. Students should wear nice blue jeans and a solid color shirt, unless they have a specific costume assigned to them. There will also be an afternoon performance at school that day, so please have students dressed appropriately for school Tuesday.

Social Studies Projects

Students have been working very hard gathering information for their research projects. We have one more reading class (next Thursday) scheduled for research time. The rest should be done at home. The final project for "A Trip Through Illinois" is the completed tri-fold board. The final project for the "Biography Bottle" is a completed 2 liter bottle along with the biography form that will be sent home next Thursday. Finished projects are due MAY 11th. If your child finishes sooner, they may bring projects at any time. Please let me know if you have any questions. I can't wait to see the final projects! Our projects will be on display for our Education Fair on May 14th.

We will be administering the End of the Year PARCC assessments during the week of May 5 - 8. The good news is that there are fewer tests this time. Third grade will only have 3 test sessions, compared to the 5 sessions we had in March. For more information about the PARCC test go to www.parcconline.org

We still have one quarter left of school, and students are very low on supplies. Everyone still needs to have scissors, glue, crayons, a red grading pen and plenty of pencils to last us until June 10th. Thank you for your help.
