We are off to a beautiful start to November and only have 2 more weeks until Thanksgiving Break.
Here are the announcements for this week:
Monday, November 5th at 7:50am, students in grades 1st-5th will meet their teachers up on the playground. We will have our BRAVO assembly, starting at 7:50am. Please stay for the assembly as we will all join together and sing “You’ve Got a Friend” to Pat.
Tuesday, November 6th we will have our first school tour of the school year at 8am. Please tell your neighbors to come see our brilliant students and great programs at SME.
Wednesday, November 7th is make-up Picture Day. If your kiddo missed our first picture day, or you would like them to take a different picture, please come dressed for the occasion.
Thursday, November 8th SME will welcome author Natalie Dias Lorenzi. Natalie Dias Lorenzi is the 2018 Pasadena Young Reader's League Author! Natalie will talk to 4th and 5th graders at 10:45 am, in the auditorium. The author will present her second novel, A Long Pitch Home. Students may purchase a paperback copy of the book by using the Book Order Form coming in this week's Wednesday folder (and attached below). Books may also be ordered online by Nov. 7 at 3 pm. Natalie will sign books after her presentation. Parents and community members are welcome to attend. Please visit the SME website or click on the flyers below for more information about this exciting upcoming visit.
