The earthquake of 1964 caused tons of damage in Prince William Sound. The magnitude at a striking 9.2, taking many lives and buildings with it. The damage it caused costed $2.3 billion in property loss. 131 people died in this devastating natural disaster.
The Pacific Plate and the North American plate subducted because Pacific plate was more dense than the North American plate. This caused the terrible earthquake!!
