Welcome Back Hornets!
July 20, 2022
Dear Hornet Family,
I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer. I also hope you are recharged and ready to jumpstart our amazing school year. As the new and proud principal of Roswell High School, it is my pleasure to welcome everyone back for another great year in Roswell. We are excited to welcome our students back to campus life. It is our mission to create a positive and safe learning environment, to foster the development of each student’s potential, and to provide pathways to success after graduation. We believe that all students should graduate from high school prepared for the demands of postsecondary education, meaningful careers, and effective citizenship.
Our skilled and devoted staff are already planning and preparing for your students. Our enthusiastic student services team is registering new families, preparing for student needs, and updating student files. Our hard working custodians and contracted cleaning crew have spent the summer thoroughly cleaning our school facility, and we are nearing completion. Our teachers are actively engaged in pre-planning, our department leaders are preparing for a successful return, our athletic teams are in full preparation mode, and the band has returned to campus for long hours of practice. In addition, our much appreciated PTSA is gearing up to welcome returning and new families, provide volunteer opportunities and offer other exciting events and programs. We are indeed a community with common goals and a high level of commitment to excellence.
This year, our students will return to familiar traditions and a few new school wide expectations. I will ensure you remain abreast of new expectations, happenings, and highlights via a weekly newsletter blast that I will share weekly. The first Hornet SMORE-Principal’s Newsletter will arrive next week, so please check your emails weekly to stay connected; feel free to send me a message using the electronic contact button within the SMORE. I also welcome your direct communication by emailing me at RoswellPrincipal@fultonschools.org.
Needless to say, I am so delighted to be a part of this great community. It is an honor and privilege to serve as your building principal. Together, I am confident that we will make this school year one to remember, one of growth and celebrations, and ultimately success for all.
Respectfully,
Principal Miley
