How To Survive High School
as a Freshmen
High School Survival Guide
1. ALWAYS park anywhere you want....
2. ALWAYS bring the whole Walmart
It is important to always have extra school supplies for classes. You do not want to be the person who shows up to class with just the minimum supplies. You want to be the person who has so much supplies that they have to carry two backpacks to school.
3. ALWAYS start rumors about yourself
By doing this, people will think that you are EXTREMELY COOL, even if they know that the rumors are not true. Since the beginning of times rumors have been viewed as being bad things- especially if they are about you. However, you can actually use rumors to advance your social status while in high school.
4. ALWAYS raise your hand first
When a teacher asks a question……ALWAYS be the first one to raise your hand. It is important that everyone becomes aware of the fact that you know everything. Do not be the person in class who knows the answer but instead just sits there tapping their pen in silence.
5. Be the one to know everything...
Always be in everyone’s business. People appreciate it greatly when you are constantly asking them about the big events that have occurred in their life. By questioning them about their business they will think that you care about them immensely.
6. Believe EVERYTHING
Always believe EVERYTHING the upperclassmen tell you. Upper class men never……ever….try to trick underclassmen. They are there to help you throughout the four years of your life spent in high school.
7. The best seat is in the very front desk
Always sit in the front row seat of the classroom. High school is an environment that is primarily for learning; therefore it is vital that you sit in the front row so that you will not be distracted by others. Also, by doing this you will show the teacher that you are an over achiever!
8. ALWAYS tell the teacher..
Be the responsible person in class! For example, if you see someone with their cell phone out in class immediately raise your hand an alert the teacher of the student’s misbehavior. It is vital that you make your classmates aware of the importance of preserving the learning environment and promoting excellence.
9. Do not get involved
Often times, people enter high school with the mindset that they need to join every club possible in order to make their resume look better for college. However, this is not the case. By joining clubs and participating in the various activities offered at your school, you will find that the activities only end up occupying more room on your college application. Also, by not being involved in school events, you will have more time for the important stuff like being out all night.
10. DO NOT even stress
Do not even try your freshmen year, because the grades that you receive do not matter. When the bell rings on the first day of school, you will find that from then on everyone is thinking about their grades. DO NOT BE THAT PERSON! You should spend your time doing what you enjoy doing and not constantly thinking about whether you got an A on your last writing assignment. After all, your Freshman year is just a practice year.
