MJS Class of 2016
A Newsletter for All Things 8th Grade
Week of February 1, 2016
Field Trip! Tuesday, February 2
While studying the three branches of government and the Constitution in history, visiting a federal courthouse with multiple speakers will greatly enrich the students' understanding of the judicial branch.
We will travel downtown on the Metro, visit the courthouse, have lunch on Olvera Street, and then take the Metro back in time for our games in the afternoon!
Notes from Ms. Frazee:
1) We will be leaving school by 8:05am. Late comers need to join us en route to the Del Mar Station or meet us at the station.
3) Per court rules phones will need to be silenced while in the courtroom, preferable off.
"He taught us how to get our ideas across to people in authority and make positive change happen in the world." - Maria Gomez
