College Application Season is Here!
SchooLinks is our online platform that will be used for all things college. Through SchooLinks, students will be able to research colleges, build an application list, request and submit letters of recommendation, have transcripts sent, and much more.
For detailed information and instructions, please go to our College Application Process 2023-2024 Google Site. The link is also available in the left menu of the Office of School Counseling website.
Questions? The School Counselors will be available during all 3 lunches the entire week of September 25 in the Media Center to help. Students should stop by during their lunch!
College Application Seminar to be held September 8
If your senior couldn't make it to the college application seminars in July and August, no worries! The school counselors are offering additional help with this on Friday, September 8. These half-hour meetings will help members of the class of 2024 to learn about the Common App, transcript requests and more.
Please have your senior complete this brief form to reserve your spot in the session of your choice. The maximum capacity for each session is 10 students. A pass will be sent to them in advance of the meeting. They will report to the tables outside of the media center at the time listed on their pass. Be sure they inform their teacher of the meeting and account for any missing school work. We encourage students to choose a study hall time if possible. The due date to register is TODAY, Thursday, September 7. Email Mr. Mitchell with any questions.
Senior Yearbook Recognition Ads on Sale NOW
It is hard to believe that your student is a senior already! School just started, homecoming is right around the corner, and in the blink of an eye they will be crossing that stage to get their diplomas. The yearbook staff at LHS is working hard to revamp and rebuild our senior ad section. We hope you will consider being a part of it. Please see the flier below for more information about this wonderful opportunity. Ads come in many different sizes and a variety of budgets. You can also create group ads with friends in order to split the cost! Our goal is to find a way to make this a fun and affordable way to celebrate and commemorate your students' senior year. Our yearbook staff is offering a 30% discount to any senior parents that place an ad directly with them by September 30th! If you are interested in taking advantage of this opportunity please email Jil Lowry at firstname.lastname@example.org and a member of the yearbook staff will help you create an amazing ad to highlight your seniors accomplishments. Please note: Discounts are only for ads placed directly with a yearbook staff member here at LHS. We hope you will consider placing an ad this year! The yearbook staff appreciates your support!
