The Inside Scoop
Inside story about One Act Play: Some of you may have seen a picture of a llama with a trophy floating around Facebook or other social media. Each group of Granger High School OAP kids adopts a "mascot" that hides on the set of each show. Lenny the Llama has been with us for 4 years now and has been hidden in the set each time we perform.
The UIL One-Act Play Area Contest will take place on Tuesday, April 4th, at Hendrickson High School in Pflugerville, TX. There is a $5 cover charge to see the shows. Granger will take the stage at approximately 3:00. Please be early. It is not known if you will be allowed in the theater once the show begins.
OAP has postponed their annual community performance until the end of the contest season. They will keep you posted on the date and time, so keep checking back with the newsletter, social media, and school website for current news.
Obnoxious repeat, but have you read it?
STUDENTS: Do not loan out your calculators, chargers, or laptops. You are responsible for their care and return. If you forgot yours, do not ask a classmate to borrow theirs. Remember yours. *TEST DATES: Remember your calculator. There are no extras in the library to borrow another one!
Don't let your wardrobe stop you...
The father/daughter & mother/son dance will be on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm for ages 1 year-8th grade in the cafeteria. Cost is $10 per couple at the door. Please come and make this a new tradition!
*Hosted by the Student Council

Quick Safety Tips For Tornado Season
Before
Watch out for dark, rotating clouds, if you see one, take shelter immediately!
Listen for a tornado siren, if you hear it, seek shelter immediately!
Turn on your TV/radio. You’ll get the latest weather updates and emergency instructions.
Avoid unnecessary car trips. You don’t want to be caught outside if a tornado comes.
Bring in outdoor furniture and other items that could blow away. These may become a safety hazard.
During
Take shelter immediately! Flying debris from high winds causes most injuries.
Keep windows closed and stay away from them. Glass from broken windows can injure you.
If you’re in a building, go to the basement or lowest floor. That’s the safest location.
If you’re in a mobile home, go to the nearest building or storm shelter. Even if tied down, your home can’t protect you.
If you’re driving, fasten your seatbelt and go to the nearest building for cover.
You’re safer indoors.
If your car gets hit by debris, stop, cover your head, and stay below the windows.
You’re safer inside the car than outside.
If you’re outside, lie down in a low, flat area and cover your head with your hands.
You’re safer lying down than standing up.
*TORNADO SEASON IS TYPICALLY MARCH THROUGH FIRST OF AUGUST.
