It has been another fantastic Homecoming Week at WHS! Special thanks to all of the staff, students, and WHS families who have worked hard this week to fill our halls, activities, and school with #Goslingpride! Homecoming 2023
Friday, September 29:
- WHS Pep Rally: 2:30 p.m. (Student will be dismissed at the conclusion of the pep rally)
- Homecoming Parade: 4:15 p.m. (Starts on Main and 8th and travels down to 3rd St)
- Booster Club Tailgate: WHS (after Parade)
- WHS Football Game vs. Mount Horeb: 7 p.m.
Saturday, September 30:
- Homecoming Dance: 8 p.m. - 11 p.m. Commons
- Get your homecoming dance tickets today! Tickets are $10 per person and should be paid to Mrs. Klinger in bookkeeping.
College & Career Planning Night
Monday, October 2, 2023
Watertown High School will host a College and Career Planning Night, on Monday, October 2nd, from 5:45pm-8:00pm. Junior and senior year is a critical time for developing your plan after High School. College and Career Planning Night is an opportunity to explore your options. Plan to attend with a parent/guardian.
College and Career Planning Night includes informative sessions on:
- The Free Application for Federal Student Aid(FAFSA)
- University of Wisconsin Schools and admissions
- Madison College and the Wisconsin Technical College System
- Information on Wisconsin's Private Colleges and Universities
- UW Whitewater and UW Whitewater at Rock County
- Apprenticeship opportunities after graduation
- Youth Apprenticeship opportunities while in high school
- US Military- Information from the US Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Airforce and National Guard

School Picture Information
Picture Proofs
Families who didn't purchase pictures and would like to, should have their student stop by the Main Office and pick up a picture proof. Information on how to place an order is included on the picture proof.
Picture Retake Day - Friday, October 13
Please see the attached document if you would like to have your student's picture retaken.
AP Exam Deadlines
Parents, whose students are taking an AP class, where notified by email earlier this week about upcoming AP Exam registration and payment deadlines. Below is a snap shot of the deadlines:
Deadline to submit Free/Reduced Lunch Paperwork: October 9
AP Exam Registration Deadline: October 16 (Completed in AP Class)
AP Exam Fee Payment Deadline: October 16 (Due to Bookkeeper)
Add/Drop Exam without financial penalty: March 15
AP Exam Testing Window: May 6 - May 17

Advanced Learner Program Meeting
Great Things Happening Around WHS!
Congratulations to Lauren Kwapil, Tristan Maxwell, Naomi Domer, and the entire Gosling Marching Band for their performance at Waukesha South on Saturday. The band performed a classic retelling of Romeo and Juliet in their show, “Till Death,” and took 2nd place in class triple A competition! Way to go Marching Goslings!
Congratulations to Dylan Morgan who has been named a Commended Student in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program. About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise.
Congratulations to Rear Admiral Michael Schwerin as our 2023 WHS Distinguished Alumni! Rear Admiral Michael Schwerin has made many contributions to the communities he has served on a local, state, national, and global level. We are thrilled to welcome Rear Admiral Schwerin back to WHS for our Homecoming festivities, including the pep rally, parade, and football game!
