Orientation Opportunities
We are very excited to welcome all students and staff back to the building on Monday, August 30th. We have several activities planned this summer and fall to support Lenape students.
Summer Suggested Activities:
- Open House/Schedule Pickup - Friday, August 20th: 7th grade and new students from 9:00 to 12:00; all other students from 12:30 to 3:30. Students will have the opportunity to pick up their schedules, tour the building, walk their schedules, and try out their lockers. 7th grade and new students will be able to pick up their laptops during this time.
- Student Schedule Access: Student schedules are accessible via Parent Portal beginning at 8:00 AM on August 20th.
Summer Optional Activities:
- Small Group Meet & Greets - Thursday, August 19th: These 1 hour sessions will be facilitated by our guidance counselors and are good for anyone who wants to meet some new people and learn about Lenape in a small group setting. Sign up link will be forthcoming.
- Guided Tours - Friday, August 20th: Lenape students will be available during open house/schedule pickup for guided tours.
- New Student Orientation - Monday, August 23rd: For students new to the district. 11:00-12:00; RSVP to jschmon@cbsd.org.
First Week Activities:
The first four days of school will be different this year to help everyone readjust to a normal school year. Grade level teams have planned a variety of activities to orient students to the building. This includes building tours, lockers, schedules, technology overviews, and school procedures (cafeteria, attendance, dismissal, etc.) We've also planned many activities for students to facilitate their connection with staff and each other!

Safe2Say
Safe2Say is a valuable resource that has been set up by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to provide a method for anyone to report a concern about a student or group of students 24/7. Please note some important reminders about the use of Safe2Say:
- If you put in a tip, please check back often for communications. The tip line is monitored 24/7 at the state level. The tip is sent to the school and/or police if it is deemed "Life Safety" immediately. It is sent in the morning if it is determined to be "Non-Life Safety."
- It is important to include as much information as possible. If you have evidence of your concerns, please share that evidence via the tip or with us. You can attach pictures and videos in the Safe2Say system.
Please remember that Safe2Say is statewide system that is used in collaboration with the State Attorney's Office, emergency responders, and school officials. It is important to know that tips are reviewed on the state level before being passed to the local police and/or school authorities. Please consider the purpose of your tip - Is it to provide another person with a way to receive help? Is it preventing an act of violence? Is it something that needs to involve local and state authorities? While the system is anonymous, abuse of the system will not be tolerated and actions will be taken if it is determined that the system is being used inappropriately.
