Panther Pause
21 years of Pride at Colleyville Heritage High School
1.19.18
Panthers,
What a great week it has been at CHHS. We had students compete with some of the top individuals around the state and demonstrate their PRIDE at every turn. Last Saturday was a busy day for many of our students. Our cheerleaders competed in the UIL Spirit State Championship, and brought home 6th place overall and 1st place in the crowd leading category. Our band and choir programs had seven students collectively qualify for the TMEA All-State band and choirs - this is the biggest accomplishment an individual can receive in the State of Texas! As you can tell, students from CHHS are not only competing at the state level, but they are excelling at it.
This week brought some really cold weather outside, but within the walls of CHHS some warm, profound discussions were happening between our students and teachers. I am always astonished at the level of maturity and thought our students are able to apply to their learning in a variety of content areas. That is not the normal feeling around most high schools in Texas, and we are truly blessed with the BEST students and staff at CHHS that help make this the norm at CHHS.
As the spring semester always is, it is a very busy time at CHHS and there are so many different ways you can come out and support our students in their many different performances. Starting tonight, our boys and girls basketball teams play at home in a big, district ballgame against Richland. Also, our soccer team will be at home tonight as they host Southlake. Next week, if you haven't already made plans to attend opening night of the CHHS Theater's production of The Sound of Music, you need to. As you can tell, it is a great time to be a Panther. Have a great weekend and GO PANTHERS!!

Student Voice
Define what PRIDE means to you at CHHS.
Having PRIDE at CHHS means to represent something bigger than yourself. This can be seen in supporting and cheering on various activities across campus like sports to fine arts to academic accomplishments. PRIDE means to have integrity and represent CHHS well on and off campus making our school and community a better place that people want to be apart of and can find success in.
