From the Principal's Desk...
Greetings, Wolverines.
As our year moves by rapidly, please remember that the first grading period ends Thursday, October 28. Friday, October 29, is a student holiday and teacher professional development day. Report cards will be available on ParentVUE on Monday, November 8. If you would like a hard copy of your daughter’s or son’s Report Card, please contact our Counseling Office at 540.751.2607.
Also, the first week of November will be a different schedule for all of us. Here is the schedule for the week:
Monday, November 1: Student holiday and staff workday. Parent, student, teacher conferences may be scheduled from 9 AM to 11 AM. These are virtual meetings. Please contact your daughter’s or son’s teachers or counselor with any questions. Here is a link
with directions on how to sign up for a conference - WHS - Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences
Tuesday, November 2: Student and staff holiday. Please remember to vote on Tuesday, November 2.
Wednesday, November 3: Asynchronous instruction – students will work from home and should access Schoology for assignments. Breakfast and lunch will be available at school for pick up only behind the school at the back loading dock.
Thursday, November 4: Student and staff holiday.
Friday, November 5: Asynchronous instruction – students will work from home and should access Schoology for assignments. Breakfast and lunch will be available at school for pick up only behind the school at the back loading dock.
School safety is at the forefront of our minds, and it is of the utmost importance to all of us. As a reminder, please have your identification ready when you enter the school. All visitors must check-in at the Welcome Center in the main lobby of the school.
American Education Week is November 15 – 19. It is wonderful to be back in school with our students and we do have much to celebrate! Please check our school calendar for activities, and I certainly encourage you to attend an event. One upcoming event I want to highlight is Woodgrove High School’s Theatre Department’s performances of Jon Jory’s Vampires, Werewolves and Zombies, Oh My! The performances will be on November 11, 12, and 13 at 7:30 PM. Here is a link with the information - Woodgrove Theatre Productions
Many thanks for your continued support. I hope everyone can take some time during American Education Week to visit and celebrate with us the amazing experiences that take place at Woodgrove every day.
