REMINDER*** MCHS is a CLOSED CAMPUS (7:15-2:35)
Why: Safety of our campus
Students may NOT leave campus for lunch. During lunch, students are to report to their designated lunch room. Students who leave campus for lunch will be subject to disciplinary action as outlined in the Discipline Management Plan. Ordering food delivery is not permitted. Students should never open an exterior door or go outside to receive a food order or let others into the building. If a student needs a lunch during the school day, parents may drop food off in the main office and students can pick it up during their designated lunch time. We appreciate everyone’s support and cooperation to keep our building safe.Sign Up to Volunteer with Athletic Booster Club!

PSAT/SAT Seminar
After working with more than 60,000 students across the country over the last 15 years, Sycamore Learning Company designed these 5-hour seminars to help students prepare for the upcoming ACT and PSAT/SAT with specific strategies to maximize scoring on each section of these tests.
The cost for one seminar is only $125 and each seminar includes an extensive study guide that has full-length practice tests with in-depth answer explanations for each question and 5 hours of in-class instruction.
The only materials needed for the seminar will be a calculator and two pencils. Enrollment may be limited, so please register as soon as possible at www.prepforthefuture.com to ensure your student does not miss out on this opportunity. The class will be held at Taylor High School in the Library on Sunday September 25, from 12:30pm – 6pm.
September is Attendance Awareness Month! Attendance MATTERS! Students miss valuable pieces of their education when they are not in school.
Attending Games and Events
Regardless of location, all fans are expected to represent MCHS well by cheering for our team in a positive way! All fans must also ensure they have a ride at the end of the game or event. Students that are not picked up after an event will be given one warning before being unable to attend events outside of school.
Attendance Procedures for Excused Absences and Checking a Student In/Out
When students miss school, they must bring a note to the attendance office upon their return to campus in order to have their absence excused. Absences can be excused with a parent note or doctors note. If you have questions, please contact the appropriate grade level Attendance Clerk.

Campus Volunteer Registration
Katy ISD is excited to announce the implementation of the District’s Raptor Volunteer Initiative for the upcoming school year. Beginning October 1, the district will require all volunteers serving on campus during the instructional day to register with the district through its Raptor security system.
Raptor ensures quick and easy volunteer registration allowing individual volunteers to create and manage a personal volunteer profile. In addition, the Raptor Volunteer Initiative will:
- Provide an additional layer of protection for Katy ISD students, staff, volunteers, and campus visitors
- Unite all district volunteers into one Katy ISD volunteer community
- Measure and communicate the positive impact of Katy ISD volunteer organizations
Once registered and approved, individual volunteers can:
- Submit and track hours via their volunteer profile for every Katy ISD campus at which they volunteer
- The system also provides quick and easy submission of individual off-campus volunteer hours
The volunteer registration requirement will extend to all volunteers serving on or off-campus, during or after the instructional day effective January 4. Join our volunteer community and register today!
