SPOTLIGHT ON STUDENTS
Each year the Wake County Spotlight on Students program provides each school the opportunity to recognize one 3rd – 12th grade student who has demonstrated accomplishment personally and academically at a Wake County Board of Education meeting. This year 5th grader Allison Ferrara was chosen to represent our school. She will be recognized at the Tuesday, March 27th Board of Education Meeting at 5:30pm in the Board Room at Crossroads I. Current and past teachers, family and friends are invited to share in the celebration and are asked to arrive by 5:00 pm to be seated in the Board Room.

SAFETY FIRST!!!
- When tardy -- Parents need to bring children to the office and not drop at carpool circle. There are no staff to supervise the traffic circle after the 9:10 tardy warning bell. We would hate for anything to happen to any of our students so need parents or other adult to walk student into the building to ensure that they are safely admitted to the school.
- Parents or any other guest must sign in and out at front office as Visitor or Volunteer -- any/every time going to lunch or helping with school/classroom activities.
- Students are to be dismissed from the classroom by the office staff. For safety reasons and to refrain from disrupting classroom learning, students will be sent to office from the class to meet their parent in office versus picking up from the classroom.
- The second car pool line starts at 3:15 or 30 minutes prior to dismissal bell. This guideline should be used on early dismissal or makeup days.
- Also ~ For safety and to prevent end of the day instructional interruptions, please refrain from picking up children in office after 315 pm (or 30 minutes prior to dismissal time). Please plan appointments or other atypical events so that this guideline can be followed. If arriving on campus after 3:15, please wait in carpool line.
