LINE SYMMETRY

line symmetry is baisically a line that goes through a shape and so both sides are the same. so that if you fold over the line one side of the shape will go over exactly the other side. This does not mean that if you cut a shape and both sides were the same size that like that it has a line of symmetry, no it has to be folded. a shape can have more than one line of symmetry and others cannot have at all.

ROTATIONAL SYMMETRY

rotational symmetry is how many times a shape will be the same ina 360 degrees turn. anything has 1 rotational symmetry because if you turn a shape a full turn it will eventually be the same at the starting point , so you can also say that it has no order of rotationala symmetry. when you come to sayiing how many rotational lines of symmetry does a shape have you say it has a order of (number..)
