Hi Everyone,

Thank you so much for supporting our lovely calm start, having your children well prepared to embrace everything that an education at Holy Rosary has to offer. It has truly been a delight to witness the big smiles from children busting to get into school - and the smiles on the faces of so many adults as they walked out the door!

Welcome to our new staff - Sharon Crump at the front office, Paris Graham in the Siena Centre, Nikita Rees in Year 6, Aimee Vivante in Pre-Primary, and Lisa Jeffcote who will be teaching Science in the newly re-acquired rooms next to Year 5. Welcome also to Steph Tranter in support for Year 2 and Literacy and Numeracy intervention. Steph replaces Sandra Frodsham, who is on Long Service Leave for Terms 1 and 2. And finally, welcome to Nev Meston, who is in for Sharni Green on Long Service Leave for Term 1. We are so very pleased to welcome you to the staff of Holy Rosary and wish you every happiness. You have joined a wonderful team.

Please check out the P&F news in this newsletter. Rose leads the P&F Executive this year, and they look forward to your participation in the events they are organising. The focus this year is on Community. Your support will bring that to fruition!

Today you will find the handbooks for each grade made available on Seesaw, as well as P&F's invitation to consider being a Parent Class Representative. If you get the chance to read the ones which apply to you before Tuesday’s Parent Teacher Meetings, that would be great.

See you on Monday!

Have a good weekend,

Mark

IF YOUR CHILD IS UNWELL:

We want our school to remain safe, happy and open and need your cooperation.

If your child is unwell during the night or in the morning please do not send them to school. If you are called to collect your child but cannot pick them up you will need to make sure we have a phone number for someone else we can contact to come and collect them.

CHILDREN WITH REGULAR ABSENCE DUE TO THERAPY ETC.

If your child will not be attending school on certain days please email admin@hrs.wa.edu stating day/time/reason and if it is for one term or the whole year as this needs to be entered into SEQTA.

Please see below for Information and Permission forms.

These forms should be returned to the School Office no later than Thursday 9 February.

The FAMILY DETAILS FORM should be filled in ONLY if there are any changes to the details you have previously given us. It is very important that we have updated phone numbers, email addresses and Alternative Contact details as sick children will need to be collected as soon as possible. Your child's well being is very important to us.

The MEDICAL INFORMATION FORM only needs to be filled in if your child has a medical condition. If your child has an EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN for a medical condition (e.g. anaphylaxis, asthma) parents/guardians are responsible for supplying the paperwork to the school and updating it as necessary, including providing the medication and replacing when it has expire. There should be a new Action Plan each year and they MUST be signed by a doctor.

Welcome back everyone, we hope you all had a fabulous holiday. We have welcomed so many new families this year, which is fantastic! A great way to meet new people and for all our families to create some valuable friendships is through social events. So we will be hosting a “Parents Only” SUNDOWNER, which will be held on Friday 24th February from 5pm til 8pm. More information to follow, keep an eye on your socials also, but in the meantime please save the date.

At this stage we are trying to organise food vendors, and due to it being parents only and no children we can run this night as a BYO event.

For catering purposes we’d love to have a rough idea of attendance, so if you could please follow the link below and RSVP it would help us immensely.

The second “Save the date” is BOGAN BINGO NIGHT, this invitation is extended to all the parents of Holy Rosary, and is such a fun night!! We’ve given everyone plenty of notice to pop this one in the calendar, as this is an event you do not want to miss.

Date: Saturday 27th May. More information to follow.

TUITION RAFFLE:

We will be holding another tuition raffle soon, so watch this space.

PARENT REPS:

Reps play such an important part in our school community. We would love for you to get on board and for us to have all class reps in place in the first couple of weeks of Term 1, this will help support our teachers and the classrooms run as smoothly as possible. Included in your Parent Handbooks will be a form you’ll be able to fill in and hand into your teacher. It would be greatly appreciated.

That’s all from us for now

Rose & Team

Xx
