Solo and Ensemble
Good luck to all of the band and orchestra students who will be performing at solo and ensemble competition tomorrow at Kokomo high school!
Fortissimo Auditions
Auditions will be Feb. 14th directly after school. All students wanting to audition, will need to prepare a verse and chorus from two contrasting songs. There will be a dance portion as well, so they should bring a change of clothes for that.
Frankfort Scholarship
If you are accepted into an accredited college or university, and have spent your entire year here at FHS, there's a scholarship for you! Please pick up the Frankfort Scholarship application from Mrs. Wertz in the Student Services office. But hurry, because the deadline is February 24th.
Community Foundation of Clinton County Scholarship
If you are interested in financial assistance for college, applications are now open for all Community Foundation of Clinton County Scholarships. The Foundation has awarded over $350,000 in scholarships to Clinton County residents in 2022! You can find application information at www.cfclinton.org or on the high school website.
Purdue Extension is hosting a FAFSA event on Tuesday, February 21 4:30-7:30 PM

Boy's and Girl's State
Applications are open for Boy's and Girl's State. A week-long summer event open to current Juniors who are interested in politics or just want to find out more about how the government works. Work with other juniors from around the state to set up your own mock Nation, write your own Constitution and Bill of Rights and start learning how laws are written and passed. Best of all it's free to you thanks to the American Legion!! Applications are due Feb. 13th!

April is Autism Awareness Month with April 2nd being Autism Awareness Day. We are doing a shirt fundraiser for our Best Buddies club! You have two shirt options.

DECA District 4 Conference
On Saturday, January 7th, seven Frankfort High School DECA members competed at the DECA District 4 Conference. Frankfort marketing students competed against Hamilton Southeastern, Fishers, Guerin Catholic, Hamilton Heights, Westfield, and Lebanon students. The following students qualified for state competition:

Sports Marketing students competed 18-weeks managing their Hot Dog Football League (HDFL) professional teams. The HDFL Super Bowl Game was played two weeks ago. CONGRATULATIONS to senior Celeste Rodriguez (New Orleans Saints) for the huge win against Brian Flores Quintanilla (New England Patriots). Final score was 57-39. Good luck to all Sports Marketing students as they enter the Hot Dog Basketball Association (HDBA) season.
DECA Cookies are baked Monday through Thursday during Period 2. Stop by the DECA Cookies cart before school or during the passing period to get your cookie fix. DECA has M&M and chocolate chip cookies available for sale weekly, while supplies last. Specialty cookies double fudge and snickerdoodle will be limited due to availability. One bag (2-cookies) is $1.00

The "Star Cookie" is a student-employee who has demonstrated the following traits:

This is DECA’s 12th year planning and implementing the DECA Backpack Buddies community service project. Frankfort DECA has committed to feeding 125 Frankfort elementary, middle, and high school students. In order to feed 125 students for 33 weeks, Frankfort DECA is needing to raise $13,612.60 to purchase non-perishable, easy-to-make snacks for weekend Buddy Bags.
Since August 2011, DECA Backpack Buddies has raised $147,937.06 through financial and product donations. As of January 26, 2023, 47,144 weekend Buddy Bags have been distributed to 1,531 unique Frankfort students. The success of the community service project is the result of all of the individuals, churches, grants, and businesses who donate resources each year.
DECA members’ weekend menus were randomly selected to be used this year. Shout out to the following members for hand selecting each item for the week’s Buddy Bag:
