School Board presentation
Faribault Middle School, along with all other buildings in the district, has been asked to present to the School Board on how technology and iPads are being used in the classroom. We know FMS is doing a great job with this and we would love to highlight specific happenings in the classroom.
Not a classroom teacher? That's fine. We would love to hear about what you are seeing around the school and in the classroom.
Please complete this 2 question survey to help us share all the great things happening here with iPads.

Reminders from past newsletters:*****************
*****Building Bond FMS Committee*****
Mr. Sesker is asking that all building put together a committee to address the building needs and wants in order to have a comprehensive and supported plan moving forward with our next bond attempt.
The bottom line is this: it is believed that the last attempt did not have the full support of the staff. A full understanding of the building request was lacking as well.
We need to put together a committee that is willing and able to meet three to four times between now and early March. Besides meeting as a committee, members will be asked to communicate and update staff as the process moves forward. Parents will be part of this committee as well. (If you know of any parents that may be interested in being on this committee please let me know.)
Stop by and visit with me if you are interested in being part of this committee. I am hoping to have an organizational meeting later this week or early next week. Meeting times will probably be 5:30 - 7:30 pm - or whatever will work in order to have an active representation from our parents.
*****EL / ACCESS Testing*****
All testing will take place in the Media Center according to the following schedule:
Jan. 29-Feb. 2: 7th grade
Feb. 5-9: 6th grade
Feb. 12-16: 8th grade
Newcomers will test during their own class time.
*****FMS Community School Parent Nights*****
February 22 - 2018-2019 7th and 8th graders
Registration information. The more staff present the better.
*****Flex Scheduler notes:*****
STAFF PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO STUDENTS WHO ARE LOCKED!!
Here are some reminders:
· Teachers only use Manage Roster for attendance and locking students
· If you want to enroll students use enroll student so you can tell if they are locked in--students who are locked show up in YELLOW. DO NOT TAKE THEM! This happened quite a bit last week and students disappeared from other staff member's rosters. Please be mindful of this.
See your team leaders with questions.
Thank you!
