Semester I Finals

We will conduct A-day semester tests on Monday, January 9th, and B-day finals on January 10th. School will begin at our regularly scheduled 7:30 am start and run until 12:00 pm. Busses will not be available until the regularly scheduled 2:25 dismissal time. Students who must wait for the bus will report to the college and career readiness room (241).

Test Requirements

Students are expected to be present for semester tests. Any requests to be absent during testing must first be approved in the office before being approved by teachers. Please ensure your students are present on these days.

Archdiocese of Dubuque-Conference for Parents

The Archdiocese of Dubuque would like to develop a Conference for Parents in the Fall of 2023. The purpose of the conference would be to support you and offer assistance with the challenging aspects of parenting. As the ideas for a possible conference are being explored, we would like feedback about how such an event could be structured as well as your interest in attending. Please complete this form to share your thoughts and ideas. Thank you!

Sadie Hawkins

The student council is finalizing a survey to determine student interest in the Sadie Hawkins winter formal. If the student body chooses to hold the dance this year, it will be scheduled for Thursday, February 9th. More details will be forthcoming!

ACT- With schools being test-optional do I still need to take the ACT test?

If you plan to attend a 4-year university or college we strongly recommend you take the ACT. You are not required to submit your scores, because the school may be test optional. Taking the ACT gives students the opportunity to review their scores and evaluate if it would be worth submitting to a school for admission.

If you are planning to attend a community college you will not need the ACT for admissions, however, we would still encourage all students to take the ACT because many scholarships are based on ACT scores.

Register for ACT

  • To register will need about 30 minutes
  • Credit card or form of payment
  • Headshot photo of the student with a plain background

Columbus Catholic ACT Test Prep

All Columbus students have access to ACT Test Prep through Naviance. When students log in to Naviance, they can scroll to the bottom and select "Naviance Test Prep." This software is really easy to use and will walk the students through using it. For assistance, students should talk to Mrs. Wolfensperger in room 241.
