The epitome of competition.

Monopolistic competition is when you have two identical or similar products, at a price you set, to beat the competition

Example: Jordan's, Nikes, and Adidas basketball shoes. All three companies set th price of their shoes, and try to beat the other company, by advertising, sponsoring popular athletes, deals or related products, or even just the design and concept of the shoe.

Each company tries to beat the other companies, by making better product, better prices, and better deals.

Trying to find the best shoes since '02

Well what if they're the same shoe?? No, that is not monopolistic completion, that's perfect completion, since there is no differences between the shoes in question.
