Congratulations to the Boys Soccer Team and Coach Jordan
The boys soccer team defeated Keefe Tech by a score of 6-1 on Wednesday, November 2 and won the State Vocational Small Division. The boys soccer team will be hosting Apponequet High on Saturday, November 5th at 2:30 PM. All are welcome. Photo by Ms. Bearse, Electronics instructor.
Breast Cancer Awareness
On Wednesday, November 2, Student Council Members asked all students and staff members to wear pink in honor of breast cancer awareness. Over 300 pink ribbons, which the Student Council Officers made were distributed according to Ms. Barley. Ms. Barley said, "The $815 will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation."
Peer Leadership Conference--Team Rival
On Sunday, November 6, Mr. Welch is taking ten (10) students to Peer Leadership Conference at Gillette Stadium. Students will participate in distractology training, coalition meeting and "adventures in respect" which is a ropes challenge course on May 4, 2017. For more information go to Team Rival site. Each year an award will be presented to a Norfolk County High School Student who is a student leader.
Cooperative Education Update
NEW! Juniors may apply to the Cooperative Education Program starting term three of their junior year. To be eligible for co-op in the junior year, students must have a combined average of 73% in their academic subjects and a grade of 80% or better in their career technical program for the previous term. Students MUST pass all subject. Student's attendance and behavior will also be a factor when determining eligibility for the co-op program. Please see Ms. Poliseno for more information.
