Professional Courtesy!
When traveling on field trips, please give other teachers as much notice as possible (We realize some things are last-minute, like playoff games, etc.). However, when trip plans are made in advance, let other teachers know asap for their planning purposes.

Teacher Absences...
Helpful Hints for Teacher Absences:
Placing your absence into the SubFinder system in advance helps in the process of filling orders. Please try not to wait till the last minute to place your order. We have found we have limited availability with substitutes when trying to fill orders that are placed the morning of the absence. Some of the responses have been, I didn’t see anything last night, so I took a job with another district, I need to know ahead of time, so I can make daycare arrangements, or we simply just can’t reach them after they take their kids to school.
We have had several issues with wrong dates and times being entered into the system. Before completing your absence double check to make sure that your date matches in all four sections. There is also a calendar available if you’re unsure of the correct date.
*Please see below the highlighted sections to check for start date and end date accuracy
Also, double check accuracy for the start time and end time
When entering a ½ day absence you will have to manually change the start time and end time for when you need a substitute (please also remember to change the a.m./ p.m.)
For example:
Correct ½ day absence
Incorrect ½ day absence
*If school has already started for the day, the system will automatically default to the next day. Please pay close attention to your date if you’re entering a request for ½ day in the afternoon for the same day.
If you would like to receive notifications about your absences:
Log in to SubFinder
Go to Personal Info Tab
Go to the Address Tab and enter your email address
You will then receive email notifications regarding your absence. For example, absence is filled, if a substitute cancels, or any changes made on the order, notification will be sent.
You can also use Review Absence in SubFinder to check status of your absence. Just enter the date of your absence and complete a Run Request. If you would like assistance with this process please contact Advantage and we will be glad to assist.
