Holly Academy News & Views
April 30, 2021
"An investment in knowledge pays the best interest." (Ben Franklin) Our Board of Directors invests countless volunteer hours in service to Holly Academy. We are so appreciative of their dedication to HA. At Wednesday's Board meeting we welcomed two new Board members, Diane Kullis and Matt Gerard. At her very first meeting Diane agreed to accept the role of Vice President! Mrs. Kullis and Mr. Gerard are filling the seats vacated by Diane Wujciak and Joan Ehrhardt. Mrs. Wujciak had served as a Board member for 20 years! Many of those years she led the Board as President. Mrs. Ehrhardt served on the Board for six years, also serving as Board President. As the governing body for Holly Academy, our Board plays a significant role in our success. Without them, we would be a ship without a rudder! Power of the Pack!
Teacher Appreciation
May 3rd - 7th is "Teacher Appreciation Week". At Holly Academy, we honor all of our staff members this week. We are especially grateful to our entire staff for working tirelessly, five days a week, in-person, since August 31st. With the exception of a few weeks around the Christmas holiday, we have done what no other public school in the local area has done. For this I am SO GRATEFUL; however, without our teachers, support staff, substitute teachers, and maintenance team, we could not have pulled it off. Our Holly Academy staff is second to none and they deserve huge KUDOS for working so steadfastly in this COVID environment. It's great to be a Husky!
Summer School
Holly Academy will be offering summer school this year. To receive funding we must offer eight weeks of math and reading. We will offer two, half day, three-week sessions and one two-week session at no cost to you. You can opt your Husky into any or all of the sessions. Please fill out the Google Form below if you are interested. Dare to be remarkable!

Staff Appreciation Week is May 3rd thru May 7th
What you and your student can do to get involved during this week:
Students:
There is no gift too big or too small to honor our teachers and staff during this week. Most importantly, we ask that you remember to say a simple “THANK YOU” to them. Due to the current restrictions and parents not being allowed in the building, we have made the "Favorite Things" list digital this year. Please click the link below if you are interested in doing something extra special this year!
Staff Appreciation_Favorite Things
• Write a “Thank You” to teacher(s) or staff member(s).
