The Most Important Amendments
Since th Bill of Rights their has been many significant amendments. 2/3 of both houses of congress and 3/4 of the state must ratify the amendment for it to be passed. The 12th amendment was aproved in 1804. This allowed the citizens and domocracy vote separately for the offices of president and vice president. Another law was developed in 1913. This was the 17th amendment. It says that U.S senators shall be elected directly by the people of each state. The 19th amendment was an important if not the most important law on the planet. It was accepted in 1920. That stated that women from all over the world is allowed to vote. This marked place in history. Then there were two, the 23rd and 26th. Under the 23rd amendment the District of Columbia is entitled to have electors represent in the Electoral College. This amendment changed this and gives citizens of DC a voice in the Electoral College. The 26th amendment commands that all U.S citizens who are at least 18 years old have the right to vote in elections. These few amends orders for all cruelty to exit the United States of America.
