IMPORTANT!! No Nut Products at School Please!
I would like to remind you that we intend to be a nut free school (as much as possible) and nut products should not be an every day lunch item. It is understandable if a student needs a peanut butter/jelly sandwich occasionally, however, some students are bringing bags of shelled peanuts or trail mix (and sharing them which is NOT OK!) This puts our students at risk. Sun butter is OK and allowed.
Nut products that should not come to school include:
- peanut butter & Nutella
- granola bars with nuts and bags of nut products such as pretzels with peanut butter or trail mix
- Students should not be sharing nut products (or any lunch items) with others.
We have students with severe nut allergies and the more nut products in the cafeteria, the increased risk for students. PLEASE DO NOT send nut products daily!
Limited Tickets Available! Get yours today!
Taking the place of "Father/Daughter" dance, we are having a VIP dance. Each student needs to have an adult with them. We will have limited pairs of tickets!
We have only had 312 responses. We have over 600 families. Please respond!
IMPORTANT** Please complete this Intent to Return & Preferred Environment Feedback Form for each student in Gr. TK - 4th grade
Each year we have had a fluctuation in enrollment. When parents do not alert us that they will not be returning and we start the school year with less enrollment, we have to transfer a teacher to another school and collapse a class after they have started with students.
This year, we are asking you to provide us with information on your intent to return (or not) so that we can accurately plan for the students and teachers that will be at HVE.
We are also providing you with an opportunity to share what type of environment you feel your student needs to be successful. Please DO NOT request a teacher by name. We WILL NOT honor personal requests. A lot goes into balancing classes. We strongly believe that we have high quality teachers that do their absolute best to build relationships and teach our students and are confident that you will be pleased with any of our teachers.
Please take the time to complete this form - one for each student so we can start to prepare for next year.
