Welcome new Academic Coach & Tutoring Coordinator, Megan Sheldon!
Meghan Sheldon, M.Ed., ACC, CPCC
Megan is thrilled to be joining Champlain College in Fall 2021 as an Academic Coach and Tutoring Coordinator after several years in private coaching practice with youth and adults, focused on executive function skills and holistic productivity. She is a happy and successful coach, professional educator, and dance fitness instructor with an intentionally diverse professional background. She is also a skilled curriculum designer, instructional coach, and facilitator. She can’t wait to support Champlain students as they discover new skills, tap into their strengths, and step into their vision for their lives at Champlain.
Megan is known for her big laugh, her zest for life, and her commitment to working at the crossroads of body, mind, emotion, and spirit. She’s passionate about social justice and about liberation, radical self-approval and wellness for all. Her professional background includes 13 years as a literacy specialist and teacher leader in rural public schools, a background in crisis counseling and service coordination, and intensive leadership training. Megan holds a master’s degree in education from St. Michael’s College and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Italian from Kenyon College. She is accredited by the International Coach Federation as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC).
In addition to her work at Champlain, Megan teaches lively, inclusive dance fitness classes and maintains a small private coaching practice. All of Megan’s work aligns with her life’s mission: helping creative people live joyful, productive and satisfying lives filled with embodied delight and significance, in connection with the natural world and marked by the accomplishments that matter most - as defined by them. Megan is a voracious learner who loves reading, parenting, traveling, gardening, studying traditional Irish shamanism, and trail running - and makes a mean apple pie.

Are you a work study supervisor? Check out the Student Worker Training Course in Canvas.
Hello Fellow Managers of Student Employees!
Another academic year is upon us and many students are beginning new jobs. We now have an updated Student Employee Training course in Canvas. Students can self-enroll using this link: https://champlain.instructure.com/enroll/WT3MAK
This course takes new (and returning) student employees through some basics of professionalism and conduct at work, as well as processes such as timecard entry and using their email and google calendar in a professional setting. This training was first created in 2019, with the goal of making the onboarding and training experience for student employees more universal, and easier for managers. Since implementing it, we have heard from many student managers that it has had a very positive impact on their onboarding process. We hope that you will consider using it with your team as well!
You can track whether your student employee(s) have completed the training using this sheet. If you have any questions, please reach out to Sarah Camille Wilson, Lauren Bruneau, or drop by the library to say hello in person!
More information coming soon about the monthly Work Study Supervisor’s Roundtable meetings!
We are here for you!
