What's So Cool About Manufacturing (WSCAM)
Our talented West students!
Great job to our students who recently participated in Jazz Fest this weekend. Another opportunity to witness their talent will occur this coming weekend at the chicken dinner. Have you gotten your musical tickets yet? Willy Wonka Jr. will be performed the weekend of March 15-17. Please come out to support our students. There will be a Wonka assembly on March 14.
Effective Instruction Junction
Here are some tips for helping middle school students become their best selves.
The BEARistas
The BEARistas have been doing an amazing job! Thank you to all of the staff who have embraced this opportunity. From helping the students to take orders and serve, to preparing baked goods, to making aprons, to building their cart... you have truly shown what makes West such a special place!
The beverage order link has been reset for this week. Below is the link:

Spread the Sparkle
As previously mentioned, we are going to continue to "spread the sparkle" through the long winter months. Please remember to complete the Invisible Kid activity that Dave shared at the faculty meeting. Spirit Club will also be rolling out a spirit week for the week of February 25. On Friday, March 1, we will be celebrating Spread the Sparkle Day. Thank you for an ordering a shirt. West will donate $129.50 from shirt sales to benefit Out of the Darkness, an organization that works to prevent suicide, in memory of former West student, Devin Spence.
During our February faculty meeting we presented “The Invisible Child Project.” Our school goal is to make positive relationships with EVERY student at West. Don’t forget to complete the spreadsheet by the end of the month. We will revisit the findings during our March faculty meeting and talk about next steps.
