FRIENDLY REMINDER ON HOW TO USE THE DROP ZONE AT COOLIDGE AVE & DILLER AVE
We want to remind El Marino families that our Drop Zone is a completely voluntary effort and it’s a privilege to have it at our school. These parents have been volunteering rain or shine!!
At any moment without the help of volunteers Drop Zone could stop existing. All the volunteers at Drop Zone are parents from our school and want to ensure the safety of students and families using the Drop Zone. We must all work together and be courteous and respectful to each other to keep this going.
There have been some issues that have caused unsafe drop offs in and around Drop Zone and contributed to congestion/backups. Please be mindful of the following:
Do not Double Park in or around Drop Zone
Do not cross through the ropes or in front of the Drop Zone lane while cars are present
Do not make U-turns on Coolidge Ave
Do not allow children out of the car in the street beyond the Drop Zone
Do not drop off TK or Kinder students in the Drop Zone
TK and Kinder students must be dropped off at their respective Gates
Do not use cell phones while using the Drop Zone
Please keep goodbyes short and sweet so that all the students behind you can arrive on time!
We hope that avoiding these unsafe and disruptive actions will help to make Drop Zone and the surrounding area a safer and better experience for everyone, especially for the students!
We really appreciate your cooperation!
If anyone is interested in being a volunteer at Drop Zone, please contact Julie at julie.bernard@gmail.com or Zoila at zoila@elmarinopta.org.
Thanks,
El Marino PTA

WITH GRATITUDE FROM THE GLITTER BALL COMMITTEE
Dear El Marino Families,
On behalf of the Glitter Ball Committee, I cannot thank you enough for attending, contributing to, donating, and volunteering at the recent Glitter Ball.
To our teachers and the entire El Marino staff who supported us and welcomed us onto the campus, thank you. To our committee members, volunteers and sponsors - The Bratt Law Firm and Iverbe - your dedication and funding helped make the event a great success.
We greatly appreciate the time, effort and energy everyone put into helping organize this event. We also appreciate your participation and donations and believe it will make a positive impact on our school community. Thanks to your efforts, we were able to raise a significant amount of funds for our target language support providers.
Once again, thank you for making the Glitter Ball and memorable and successful event. We appreciate you and are looking forward to more events in the future.
The Glitter Ball Committee
Walk & Rollers is Friday, April 14th!

El Marino PTA hopes everyone had a fantastic Spring Break!!
We have a quick favor to ask, we would like to take a few minutes of your time to submit nominations for special people at El Marino that you see helping students and families.
Take some time to fill out this quick nomination form: https://forms.gle/Z3o2Nkg1B5SSY3s5A
Every school year El Marino PTA strives to publicly acknowledge both individuals and organizations for outstanding community service to children and youth in our community.
We are asking our El Marino community for nominations for the following categories: Honorary Service Award, Continuing Service Award, and Outstanding Teacher Award. The recipients should be recognized for outstanding service to children and youth and are usually presented to others beyond the outgoing officers. Please, consider those who work behind the scenes as well.
This nomination form will close Friday, April 14th. Make sure to fill this out if you have a person(s) in mind.
Final Selected Honorees will be recognized at an El Marino Honorary Service Awards Ceremony in May.
Thank you for your nomination submission!!
