It is hard to believe we are in JUNE! Here is our latest WB Wildcat Weekly Newsletter. We hope that it will provide you with information as well as insight into what is going on in the West Bridgewater Public Schools. MSHS Class of 2022 Graduation

The Class of 2022 celebrated their graduation ceremony at the Town Park in West Bridgewater on Friday, May 27th. It was a wonderful night to celebrate the students. Thank you to all of the student speakers who did an outstanding job. Thank you to Principal Mrs. Page and Senior Class Advisors Mrs. MacMillan and Mr. McMurray for all of their hard work and dedication. Best of luck to all of our graduates.

Updated COVID Information

We just wanted to update you on the new COVID information from the state. Below is the link for all the information.



CLOSE CONTACTS

  • If asymptomatic, no quarantine is necessary regardless of vaccination status

  • Mask encouraged but not required

  • Test on days 2 and 5 recommended but not required


SYMPTOMATIC

  • IF TEST:

    • able to stay in school if negative

    • mask encouraged but not required

  • IF NO TEST:

    • stay home until a negative test OR

    • fever free for 24 hours and resolved symptoms OR

    • MD documented an alternate diagnosis


COVID POSITIVE

  • Isolate for 5 days

  • Return after 5 days if asymptomatic or symptoms resolving and fever free for 24 hours

  • Mask through day 10

CATS Camp

FREE 4 Week Sports and Conditioning Camp


Check out the information for CATS (Cops And Teens Sports Camp) for students in grades 3-8. The camp runs at the MSHS July 5- July 28th on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9-11am. The camp is also looking for HS volunteers. If you are an HS student looking to volunteer go to the MSHS main office for more information.

Howard School

Hello Howard Community,


This past Thursday, the Howard School Council had a very productive meeting and created goals for the 22/23 academic school year. Thank you very much to the parents who participated in the school council this past year. On June 10th, please be on the lookout for our end-of-the-year survey. We would love your feedback. We will review and reflect on the information gathered and use it for future planning. Some important dates coming up are:


4th Grade Field Day - Monday, June 6

6th Grade Celebration - Monday, June 13th @ 11:30

5th Grade Picnic - Tuesday, June 14th

Last Day of School - Thursday, June 16th, Dismissal is at 11:30

Rose L MacDonald School - Reading Is Fundamental (RIF)

Thank you WB Friends of the Library for bringing RIF (Reading is Fundamental) back to our elementary schools! There is nothing better than seeing a child smile over a new book!

Spring Street School - MSHS AP Biology Students Visit

Ms. Brogna’s AP biology class will be visiting the kindergartners over the next two weeks. The AP students had fun conducting some fun science lessons on cells and membranes using bubbles!

WB Athletic Boosters Golf Tournament - June 20th

Check out the flyer for the WB Athletic Boosters Golf Tournament scheduled for Monday, June 20th at the West Bridgewater Country Club (formerly River Bend) There is still time to register to play, as well as to become a tee sponsor or donate a raffle item. This is always a great event and it raises a lot of money for the WB Athletics program.

Annual Public Safety Day and River Walk Event - June 5th

The WB Police and Fire Departments will once again be holding our annual Public Safety Day! It is on Sunday, June 5, from 10:00am to 2:00pm. The Open Space and Recreation Committee is also holding their River Walk event on the same day and time.

**The WB 2022 Fall sport season is right around the corner! The FamilyId registration portal, to sign up to play a fall sport, will be open by the end of this week. Please contact Ms. Hammel with any questions, jhammel@wbridgewater.com.


**Our 6th-grade students will be meeting with our WB fall coaches this Thursday, 6/2 around 10:00 AM, after they finish their visit at the WBMSHS. We look forward to meeting our new students!

Annual Tutu Run

Sydney Craven Memorial Fund in East Bridgewater. We are 1 month away for our 6th Annual Tutu Run and SparkleFest on June 18th at the Commercial Club in East Bridgewater.
There are funding scholarships for students within the Bridgewater communities.
