Fall 2020 Family-School Relationship Survey
As you may already be aware, growing our students’ social-emotional learning (“SEL”) skills is an important goal for our District. Each spring and fall, we survey students, teachers and families ask them to reflect on their own mindsets and approaches to learning. The data we get back informs our educational practices, and helps us continue to identify opportunities for growth and development with our students.
We need your feedback!
Parents/family members: please visit www.BremertonSchools.org/Survey and click on the link to child's school to complete the survey.
- The survey is open until November 9.
- If you have students in more than one school, you are welcome to take the survey for each school.
- The survey can be taken on a computer, tablet or smart phone, or on your student's District-issued Chromebook.
- The survey should take 15-20 minutes.
- The survey is available in multiple languages.
- If you do not have access to a computer or telephone, please contact Laura Bay at 360-473-1016 so we can provide a way for you to take the survey.
Thank you so much for your time and support of the Bremerton School District.
Student Surveys
With Connected Learning, our District is committed to supporting children's health, wellbeing, and social-emotional learning at home. As such, we are asking that our families help us with this important survey while students are at home.
Your student has or will soon be invited to take the survey by a teacher at your student's school.
For some tools to help your student take the survey at home, please visit www.BremertonSchools.org/Survey. Thank you for your assistance!
Family income survey
Our school is participating in a federal program called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). This program allows all children in our District and community to eat school meals at no charge.
Some of the District's education programs are funded by the state, based on financial information previously collected on the free & reduced price meal applications. As a CEP participant, we no longer collect those applications but we are still required to provide household income data to the state to receive state funding for these programs.
Your completion of our confidential Family Income Survey helps ensure continued funding for these important programs. Thank you for your support!
An update on BSD Athletics & Activities
We know our students, coaches and club advisers are eager to return to sports and extracurricular activities. Based on the latest guidance from the Governor’s Office, the Washington State Department of Health and WIAA, the Bremerton School District is in discussion to determine the feasibility of allowing students to return to these activities.
While we do not have any dates or specific details to announce at this time, we will provide updates as we work to establish health and safety protocols for all sports and student activities.
Thank you for your patience and support!
