Introducing Performance Matters Parent Portal
Parents/Guardians,
We wanted to make you aware of a new tool being utilized by the district called Performance Matters, which brings together student performance data needs in one easy to use online portal. Parents can now go into the Parent Portal to view local and state assessment results. Please be aware the email address used for the PM Parent Portal is the same email used in your linked PowerSchool account. If you do not have an established PowerSchool account, you will not be able to access the Performance Matters Parent Portal. For assistance with creating a PowerSchool account, you may contact your school’s main office. After you log in, you will see some basic student information at the top. For testing information, you can click on these tabs:
• The “State Results” tab displays state data as well as reporting categories. It displays all historical state data available in the platform. You can also click on the “Show all scores” box to see the results in more detail.
• In the “Observational Results” tab, you may see some additional Common Core screeners.
• In the “Additional Results” tab, you will find all other results for assessments given.
You can also filter these out by the year, as well as the measure. For example, this is where you can see the results for i-Ready.
Click below for directions on how to access.
ACCESS Testing
All students idetified as English Learners on or before March 10, 2023 are required to complete the ACCESS for ELLs Online Test during the 2024 Test Administration Window. This would be students who work with Ms. Clifford. She will be sending out a specific testing schedule through email shortly. Please email: Sigita.Clifford@sau26.org with any questions.

More about School Dismissal Manager
1/18/24
Hello RFS Parents/Guardians!
We’re excited to announce that Reeds Ferry School is launching a new on-line dismissal management system called School Dismissal Manager (SDM). This dismissal system is a dependable, easy-to-use platform, and can be updated by parents and guardians from the convenience of their smart phones, tablets, and personal computers.
Through the on-line dismissal management system, you can:
- Report student absences and late arrivals
- Schedule early departures from school
- Schedule after-school activities such as co-curricular clubs, etc.
- Make transportation changes as late as 1:30 PM on the current day
(11:00 AM on Early Release Days)
Before we convert to this new system, we will provide you with additional information and an email will be sent to you directly from SDM after January 22nd. The email from SDM will contain important instructions and your personal login credentials. Once you receive your credentials, please use them to log into the new system so that you can begin to familiarize yourself with it and set up your child’s default dismissal and routine. Our official launch with families will be February 12th. Until February 12th, please continue to report dismissal changes by phone, note, or email to the front office.
Note regarding Parent Pick-Up procedures:
- We will continue to have parents park & walk into the building (APR) to pick up students.
- After the February 12th official launch, we will have a QR code posted on a sign by the main office entrance for easy check-in.
- In order to use the QR code, you must first download the SDM app & follow instructions.
- We will have staff members on hand to help facilitate the QR code check-in.

Fourth Grade News!
Fourth grade students have been learning about geology and the shaping of the earth this trimester. Below, you can see models that students made while studying Earth's history. First, students plotted the Ring of Fire on a world map to determine the likelihood of a volcano "popping up" near their home. Then, students used clues from fossils to study how land evolves over time.
