Explanation
Our district is moving towards using our days off due to the Corona Virus as "Digital Learning Days" to give families an opportunity to continue learning from home. Here are some recommended kindergarten ideas/activities for you and your child. We recommend spending some quality time learning if possible each day. See below for a daily schedule idea. Documenting Your Child's Learning-Optional
***If you would like to share what your child is doing at home, please consider the following:
- Take a picture/video and email it
- Upload and share it on Seesaw
- Collect all writing/activity type sheets you do to send back to school in April

- Write a letter to a friend, relative, teacher, parent.

- Continue to write "Opinion" stories from our current "Writers Workshop Unit".
- Make a reading fort or nook that you can go in and read each day!
- Write your "Summer Bucket List".
- Play Snap Word Spelling Test - one person reads the word, the other person writes it
- Play Snap Word Memory - 2 sets of snap words, flip them upsidedown, find matches
Fine and Gross Motor Skills
Gross Motor:
- Go on a nature walk - record sounds you hear, take a picture of something you observe or create a map of the route you walked
- Outdoor/Indoor scavenger hunt

- Do some fun science experiments at home! Then write or draw about what happened and what you did! You can also upload these onto your child's Seesaw app to share with your child's teacher. Or just take a picture/video and share your learning with them via email!

If you can use YouTube on your tv you can search for all of our music and movement songs on there! This way the picture is much bigger than on the iPad and EVERYONE can dance and sing along :)
