Our Mission
We believe in the value of a diverse educational community; in a safe and caring environment where all children can learn.
Staff Highlight - Laurel Rachiele - Building Secretary
Mrs. Rachiele has been the back bone of the Walnut Creek Family for 7 years. After spending 3 years working with students in our Responsibility Room, she moved to the front office to take over as our building secretary.
Mrs. Rachiele keeps the building, staff, and students running smoothly everyday with her dedication, patience, and knowledge.
Personally, she has made my transition into Walnut Creek incredibly smooth, and I can sincerely say that I would be lost without her help.
Thank you for all that you do for our staff, students, and families - - We are so lucky to have you on our team!

Lakes Area Community Coalition 8th Grade Assembly - 9/23/19
On Monday during 2nd hour all 8th grade students will have the opportunity to hear from a young man or young woman living in long-term recovery from a substance use disorder. These presenters share their personal story of how they started using alcohol and drugs and how their lives were negatively impacted. They also share how they worked their way back from addiction. After the assembly, some students may be asked by Mrs. Burdgick to participate in a short focus-group session with the presenter. Their responses are anonymous to all of us at Creek and they can help us better understand the pressures that kids feel and how we can best respond to them.
Donation Needed: Pingpong table
Thank you to the Apostolopoulos family for your generous donation of a foosball table, our students truly appreciate it!
We are still in need of a ping pong table for our students to use during lunch. If you have an old table that you would like to donate, or if you would like to purchase a new table - Our kids would appreciate it! Thank you in advance!
Hawk Nest for Home Games
Students that do not attend the Hawk Nest will not be permitted into an athletic contest unless they are accompanied by their parent/guardian. Parents/Guardians will be required to stay at the event with their child if they did not attend Hawk Nest. Thank you for your cooperation.

Picture Retake Day - October 17th
Any student who was at Creek Connection and wants to have their picture retaken must bring the old picture packet back with them from Creek Connection. Iready Testing Window: 9/18 - 10/23
Cafeteria Information
If your child is planning on purchasing their lunch, please remind them to bring their student ID with them to the cafeteria. When students have their ID, it speeds up the check out process and allows students to maximize their time in the cafeteria. Thank you!
Please follow the link below to access the September Lunch Menu
Parent Drop Off Procedures
Please only drop students off on the curb along the gym side of the building. Please do not park your car in the parking lot when dropping students off. When students have to cross through the parent drop off area they are creating an unsafe situation for themselves. This issue will become increasingly unsafe as the sun rises later in the morning. I have attached our parent drop off visual below.
