PSTAT Training for Professional Staff and Selected Paraprofessionals
You are now able to complete the PSTAT training necessary to proctor the PSSA exams. Please remember, this training is required for all professional staff, not just grade 3-5 classroom teachers. Maintenance is completed and the site is back up for anyone who still needs it.
The link to the training site is here https://www.pstattraining.net/
One of the changes for administrators this year is that we need to have a printout of your certificate. After completion, please print out the certificate and turn it in to the office.
Also, there is an option for you to reset your password if you have forgotten it. If you are new to BASD, click “Register” and sign yourself up. If you are new to GES but previously worked in another school, after you log-in, in the upper right-hand of the page (in white), click “My Account.” Please change your school to “Gilbertsville EL SCH”.
***March 21 will now be a required one hour meeting for teachers to make up the one missed on February 7. It will be PLC time here in the building. ***

Also, if you are interested in pre-ordering a copy of A.J.’s book, Empower, prior to the NPS please email Becky Thomas. The cost will be $17/each. You can read more about it by clicking here. Books will also be available for purchase at NPS.
Please share these reminders with your students:
- Students should not be trading Pokemon or other cards on the buses or in school.
- Smart Watches were a popular Christmas gift. Students may wear them if they are not accessing cell phone features such as calling and texting and as long as they are not a distraction from learning. If students are distracted by their watch, then they will be expected to put it away in their schoolbag. Repeated violations will be treated the same as cell phones - watches will be kept in the office until the end of the day. Next step would be that parents have to come pick it up. Please note: Students may NOT have Smart Watches in their possession during PSSAs.
Due to the number and variety of allergies in the building, students are reminded that there should be no eating on school buses. Also, just a reminder that we are a latex-aware building. Thank you for your understanding and support in helping us maintain a safe environment for our students.
Students should be dressed appropriately for winter weather. We go outside for recess unless the wind chill is below 19 degrees.
