Mountain View Weekly Update

November 18

Announcements & Updates

- Mountain View School will hold its 2nd Annual Turkey Trot on Wednesday, November 21st.

All students are encouraged to wear school colors and/or spirit wear and good running/walking shoes. This will be a great way to kick off the holiday weekend!

-This week in Advisory, each student will create their own "Olympic Torch" to carry as they walk or run the Turkey Trot. The torch will serve as a sign of hope and support for a child who is currently fighting cancer and receiving care through The Valerie Fund. All students are invited to donate books, gift cards and new, unwrapped toys for children and teens spending the holidays in the hospital.

-The 6th graders have passed the halfway mark in their LEAD curriculum. A common theme throughout this course is consequence. In Officer Behre's own words, "every decision we make has a consequence, either good or bad, it's your choice."

-Mrs. Toth returns to Mountain View School this week! I would like to thank all of the families for letting me get to know your children. Mountain View School is a very special place and I have enjoyed serving as your Principal - Danielle Holmes
