November2021 Hawk Talk

November Principal Message

Hello Maple Hill Hawk Families! It is the time of year where we slow things down and focus on what we are thankful for. Students are settling into classroom routines and the building is abuzz with student talk and learning.

Please take time over the next few weeks to talk to your child about their school day. For example, ask questions and see if they can tell you about all of the exciting things they are learning. This is also a great time of year to get outdoors and enjoy the crisp air and the changing leaves. Embrace the fact that we are all blessed and enjoy time together.

PBIS School-Wide Reward

The students have earned a school-wide PBIS reward again for all of their hard work showing us PBIS behaviors. The next school-wide reward will be "Bring a toy or an electronic to school day," on Friday, November 5th. Please be aware that your child's teacher will give the students 15 minutes to play with their toy or electronic sometime during the day. Also, let your child know it is their responsibility to take care of their own items and that they should keep their toy or electronic in their backpack until the teacher instructs them to take them out. All items brought to school should be school-appropriate. Electronic devices may or may not work on our wifi depending on the setting of each device.

Two friendly reminders from our front office staff:

1. If your child stays home due to illness please make sure to speak to one of our front office staff members prior to bringing your child to school.

2. Also, please be advised that we have water bottles on campus for students who forget their water bottles. We encourage all students to bring a water bottle with them to school every day, but if they forget it we will supply them with one when they ask.
