Dear Everitt Families:
As we prepare for a potentially huge winter storm this weekend, I want to reiterate the message sent from our district communications department yesterday: We are collaborating closely with weather agencies and district and county crews and will continue to do so throughout the weekend as the storm moves into our area. If we make changes to next week's schedule, we will communicate as usual via email, phone, text message, social media, and local news media. Below, you'll find a link to Jeffco's Closures, District-Wide Remote Learning Days, and Delayed Starts Information page, which includes more details about the impacts of those decisions.
If and when a change in learning schedule is announced by our district, Everitt will send a separate email that includes our school specific information for students. Don't hesitate to call or email if you have questions.
As always, thank you for believing in the power of neighborhood schools to bring our communities together, and thank you for sharing your kids with us; it is our honor to serve them.
Stay safe and warm this weekend!

A Day Without Hate is a student-led, grassroots organization that promotes nonviolence, respect, and unity within our schools. Help your child join his/her fellow students district wide to help end school violence and promote peace. By encouraging students to be tolerant, friendly, and kind, teaching them that there are non-violent solutions to problems, hopefully as a community, we can create a better world.
Everitt will be participating in A Day Without Hate by creating school wide activities for both Hybrid and Remote Learners. Students and families will also be able to purchase t-shirts for $5 and masks for $1.50.
How to order T shirts and masks:
- Bring cash or check and a filled out order form to our office front desk.
- OR if you prefer to order remotely, please call Ms. Ahr, at 303-982-6137 and pay by debit, or credit card.

A message from Jeffco Transportation
It is with great anticipation that we are getting prepared for grades 6-12 100% in person beginning April 5, 2021, however busing students is still at a limited capacity. In order to accommodate, here are a few guidelines for families:
· All eligible students who are currently riding the bus as of today are priority.
· If a student is eligible to ride the bus but currently is not, the family will need to contact the terminal for eligibility verification and request a Zpass to secure a seat.
· At this time, we will not be accepting space available/choice enrollment requests.
Central 303-982-2324
Parents of eligible student bus riders must contact their local transportation terminal by March 24, 2021 in order to receive transportation services.

CMAS/State Testing Information
As we prepare to welcome students four days per week, we want to share with you our plans for CMAS, the annual state standardized assessment that helps us measure student achievement and progress toward state academic standards. Everitt is scheduled to administer CMAS testing from April 20th through April 29th in both morning and afternoon sessions each day. Within that window, students will complete three sessions of English Language Arts and three sessions of Math; 8th graders will also complete three sessions of Science.
All families have the right to opt out of CMAS testing if they feel that is best for their student. If you’d like to opt your child out of testing, please send an email to Mrs. Templeton at Jeena.Templeton@jeffco.k12.co.us expressing this request. Your child’s grades will not be affected by your choice to test or opt out, and our school is not penalized for your decision to opt out if you choose to.
