From the Principal's Desk...
Hello Lange Family,
We are off to a really good start to the 2021-2022 school year. Our motto this year is Every Student, Every Day! We believe it is important to help EVERY STUDENT succeed and we also know it is very important to work toward this goal EVERY DAY! We are excited to welcome all our students this year. We started out with a great Jump Start Day on August 23rd followed by an amazing group of Lange men showing up to support our students on the first day of school, August 24th. Our students returned this year excited to get reunited with their friends and meet their new teachers.
You may have noticed that ipads have been issued to all students so they can have complete access to their academic coursework. Students can also access their Kickboard accounts to see how teachers are awarding them Kickboard Kash for following the building and classroom expectations. Students have started taking the iReady diagnostic assessments in Reading and Math. Please stress to your child that we need them to take this seriously so that we can determine the best academic learning plan to support their learning. We want to help students both get caught up if they did not do well during online learning last year and help them excel if they are on target with their learning.
Finally, we hope to see you participating in the many school sponsored activities this fall such as cross country, volleyball, and football. Our PTSA has started out strong and will be reaching out to get volunteers to help support our students and teachers. If you have not connected with our PTSA yet, you should make sure to join and start participating as soon as possible. This is a great way to get more details on how to help your child become and stay actively involved in school. Our Back to School Night is another way to get details from teachers about what’s going on in your child’s classes. This event will be held on September 21st, starting in our cafeteria at 6PM. It will be great to see our parents and guardians come to support our students.
Thank you for all you do. Go Leopards!
C. Bernard Solomon, Ph.D.

Greetings Lange families! My name is Mr. White and I will be your Science teacher this coming school year. You and I will work together every day, and I am very excited about the learning opportunities we have planned.
I have three big goals for our class. First, I want us to create a safe learning environment where we can all make mistakes and learn from one another. Second, I want us to foster a creative and fun workspace where we can collaborate and solve real-world problems. Finally, I want us to engage in hands-on S.T.E.M. activities aimed at exploring our school campus, our neighborhoods, and our living spaces.
Please feel free to email me with any comments, questions, or suggestions.
I also coach our Science Olympiad Team and our school Cross Country team. For more information about getting involved, please contact me.
