This past week we talked a lot about Martin Luther King, Jr. Ask your child why Dr. King was and is so important to us.
Homework for the week of 1/20/15
Tuesday - Sheet 139-140, spelling list 16 goes home for test on Friday; Wednesday - Sheet 135-136; Thursday - Sheet 133-134; Field trip slip and money

We continued discussing the importance of questioning while reading texts. We completed the Two Bobbies. The students read books on Tumble Books and recorded their text questions in an "I Wonder" book. Ask your child what they read and what types of questions they came up with.
Word Study:
We worked on simple and compound sentences as well as the different sounds of "oo".
